Celestino Caballero TKO 4 Steve Molitor

Celestino Caballero made quick work of Steve Molitor moments ago at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada, stopping ‘The Canadian Kid’ in just four rounds. Caballero’s height and reach seemed too much for Molitor right from the outset, and the Panamanian fighter stalked him from the opening bell. Caballero chased Molitor around the ring for the first three rounds and finally caught up with him in the fourth. Early in the fourth round a right uppercut rocked Molitor and dropped him awkwardly. He got up and ate several more shots as the referee waived the fight off with Molitor slumping into the ropes. The official time was :52 of round four. With the win Caballero unified the WBA and IBF super bantamweight titles and opened the door to potential mega fights with Israel Vazquez, Rafael Marquez, and Juan Manuel Lopez. David Haye’s manager Adam Booth has accused the Klitschko brothers of backtracking following the Hayemaker’s outstanding performance against Monte Barrett.

“If Arce thinks he has a snowball’s chance in Hell of beating me than he’s a bigger sucker than those lollipops he chews on,” said Darchinyan. “Arce shouldn’t be worrying about me running for the hills. He should be worrying about me running him out of boxing! The last real ring test he had was against Cristian Mijares in 2007 and we all know how that ended. It was a murderous unanimous decision victory for Mijares, scored 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111. And everyone saw what I did to Mijares on November 1. Arce is going to be my human piñata. It will be like a Chihuahua going against a bull…a raging bull!”

Jorge Arce, one of boxing’s most brash talkers, is no longer clamoring for a fight against WBC super bantamweight champion Israel Vazquez. Arce has now set his sights on WBC/WBA/IBF super flyweight champion Vic ‘The Raging Bull’ Darchinyan.
